Enhanced Security of Mountain View Financial’s Online Banking

Online banking with Mountain View Financial has become even more secure with the implementation of ‘Increased Authentication’.

Why?

The improved features better protect your privacy by helping to prevent fraud. Increased authentication provides you with the added confidence of another layer of protection.

The banking system is able to verify:

  1. Each member’s identity based on your password, and also
  2. The identity of specific trusted computers you set up.

When to register for Increased Authentication:

When you login the first time, you will be asked to set up your new security features. It only takes a few minutes to go through the setup, but you do have the option to delay registration and go directly into Online Banking until a time when it is more convenient for you. However, all users must be registered within 60 days.

How to register:

  1. You will choose an image and security phrase which will be displayed each time you login to Online Banking. This verifies that you are on our real site.
  2. You will select three security questions and provide the answers, to allow us to verify your identity.
  3. You can then choose to register the computer you are using. Your registered computers will display the image and security phrase you chose in step 1. If you do not, you will know that you are not on our authentic Mountain View Financial site and should not proceed.
  4. You should not register publicly-accessed computers, but instead will login to Online Banking using the security questions and answers you provided in step 2.
